CONCRETE PLANT AUDIT SCHEME – A STAMP OF EXCELLENCE

The Plant Audit Scheme operates to audit New Zealand Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NZRMCA) member’s ready mixed concrete plants as defined in New Zealand Standard NZS 3104:2003 Specification for Concrete Production.

The Scheme provides an independent and rigorous audit of the quality systems in place at a ready mixed concrete plant.

Without the scheme, purchasers and specifiers would be faced with a costly and time consuming audit of concrete quality for each construction project.

The Scheme operations are carried out under a quality assurance programme certified to ISO 9001 and audited by Bureau Veritas Quality International.

Excellence Awards are presented annually to plants that have demonstrated full compliance with NZS 3104 and protocols of the Scheme over a two year period.

All five Auckland Atlas Concrete plants have received Excellence awards from NZRMCA’s Plant Audit Committee in 2015. Atlas Takapuna, Atlas Wiri, Atlas Kumeu, Atlas Silverdale and Atlas Panmure were proud to receive these awards at the 2015 NZRMCA Conference. This is testament to the hard work put in by Atlas staff and management, particularly our engineer and concrete technicians to ensure our plants operate at the highest level possible, which in turn benefits our customers with providing a superior product with excellent service.

COVID-19 Alert Level 4 – Atlas Concrete Operations

Atlas Concrete will be closed for supply under the Alert Level 4 enforcement of non-essential business closure. The re-opening of Atlas Concrete Auckland is scheduled for Wednesday 25th August 2021.
